Self-care in hard times: Tools to foster healing and resilience
Dr. Portia Jackson Preston is an Assistant Professor of Public Health at California State University, Fullerton, where she researches multilevel approaches to self-care and examines racism and other stressors as drivers of health inequity.

In this WellBeingU discussion, Dr. Jackson Preston will explore key stressors that students, staff, and faculty are facing as a result of the COVID-19 crisis, racial and social injustice, and increasing equity gaps. Participants will have an opportunity to examine their current practices for coping with stress and learn about tools to develop a self-care plan. The discussion will focus on how self-care can be used as a tool to engage in healing, foster resilience, and navigate a path forward that is illuminated with hope.
